⤷ IT'S NOT BIG BROTHER STUFF ⁘ researcher, Live Project, Goldsmiths, University of London ⁘ 30.10.2018
Collaborative archival multimedia installation at Goldsmiths. It's not big brother stuff investigated the implementation of RFID cards in universities across London and their connection to broader shifts in identification technologies and mobility control. As part of my contribution, I researched and produced a timeline of the history of the company behind the RFID card used at University of London, Assa Abloy, and the depths of its connection to carceral and border infrastructures since the eighteen-hundreds. I also conducted interviews with security management personnel at Goldsmiths and wrote a text to guide the attendees through the installation, which also featured an investigation of the infrastructure of mobility control that the university depends on. A summary of the installation is available online.
